MGM Resorts International has expanded its Stay Well room concept into its meetings spaces, with new health- and wellness-related meetings rooms at its MGM Grand resort.
Encompassing 12 rooms converted from standard meetings and convention space, the Stay Well Meetings program is intended to create a healthy work environment that increases the energy, focus and productivity of attendees, MGM said.
The spaces will offer 14 specific health and wellness elements including an advanced air purification system, lighting engineered to emulate the natural environment, posture supportive floor mats, ergonomic features throughout the room, aromatherapy and healthy menu options.
Color therapy utilizes lighting in primary colors to enhance attendee engagement, creativity and productivity, and advanced mobile technology will provide information throughout the day to encourage attendees to stay hydrated in the desert environment, as well.
In addition to the Stay Well Meetings program, several short mental and physical activities will be available to attendees to help boost energy and creativity, allow them to relax and help them focus.
Examples of these features include mental brain teasers, alerts that encourage people to go outside for a boost in vitamin D, guided meditation throughout the meetings and convention schedule, physical activity breaks and time to disconnect from technology.
MGM partnered with Delos, which provides solutions for transforming homes, offices and other indoor spaces into healthier places, to offer both the popular Stay Well Rooms, which also offer health and well-being elements, and the new Stay Well Meetings spaces.
