Dogs are welcome at all MGM Resorts International resorts in Las Vegas with an expanded program to make their stay as comfortable for them as it is for their owners.

At check-in, guests receive complimentary treats for their canine, a map of "relief areas" as well as information on doggie concierge services and other amenities, such as bowls and mats.

While guests are away from their rooms, a doggie concierge can check in on the pooch and send a text message with photo confirmation. The cost for this service is $25 for one 10-minute check-in. The concierge can also arrange dog-walking services through a preferred service provider.

The program is limited to two dogs (maximum combined weight of less than 100 pounds) per room. Dogs must be placed in a portable kennel or carrier when the guest is not in the room and must be fully house-trained. Dogs must be kept on a leash outside of the rooms.

Dog-friendly rooms and suites are available for an upgrade of $50 to $175 per day, per dog, depending on the property.

"Half of our MGM Resorts International properties accepted dogs prior, and now we have expanded the dog-friendly program to the remaining properties (excluding National Harbor, Borgata and Gold Strike)," said Brian Lagomarsino, director of hotel strategy for MGM Resorts International.

"Guests can now bring their whole family and have peace of mind that they will have a similar elevated experience for their dogs no matter what MGM Resorts property they choose," he said. "Our fun and desirable amenities allow dogs to be taken care of and pampered in the same way their human parents would."

Las Vegas properties had 14,000 check-ins with dog guests this year, Lagomarsino said.

Dogs are accepted at the following MGM Resorts International Las Vegas properties: Bellagio, Aria, Vdara, MGM Grand, the Signature, Mandalay Bay, Delano, Park, NoMad, The Mirage, New York-New York and Luxor. The Beau Rivage (Biloxi, Miss.), MGM Grand Detroit and MGM Springfield (Mass.) are also dog-friendly.

Dog-friendly rooms and suites are available for an upgrade of $50 to $175 per day, per dog, depending on the property and can be reserved by going to MGMResorts.com/dog or by calling (855) 788-6775.
