The scheduled renovations and rebranding of the Monte Carlo will force the resort to close some features in the fall.

Starting Oct. 3, the pool and some shops and restaurants along the Street of Dreams corridor, such as the Pub, will be closed.

The Monte Carlo, built in 1996 and operated by MGM Resorts, is undergoing a $450 million renovation that will result in the 2,700-room luxury property Park MGM and a 292-room independently run hotel, the NoMad Las Vegas. The construction is expected to take two years.

The adjacent T-Mobile Arena opened earlier this year, and construction is underway on the Park Theater, a $100 million, 5,300-seat entertainment venue slated to open this year.

Monte Carlo guests will be provided access to pools at MGM Resorts sister properties during the closure.
