Families needing a little more space can opt for one of the hotel's 390 two-bedroom suites, which start at $111 per night for seven nights.
The new hotel is Universal's seventh on-site property and features a surfboard-shaped resort pool, a fitness center and a food court serving three meals daily as well as a pool bar, coffee shop and in-room pizza delivery.
Guests can also enjoy early park admission (one hour before the parks open to the public) as well as the ability to charge park purchases to their rooms using their room key. Purchases can also be delivered directly to the guests' room from the park. The hotel also features direct shuttle bus service to the parks to the parks and Universal's CityWalk.
A sister property in the Value category, the Dockside Inn & Suites, will add more than 2,000 hotel rooms to the low-priced inventory when it opens in 2020.
