Passengers can soar over iconic locations of the American West in FlyOver, an multisensory flight ride, opening in Las Vegas in the fall.
Video of the Las Vegas Strip, the Grand Canyon, Zion and Arches national parks and Lake Tahoe, among other destinations, will be displayed on a 52-foot, high-definition spherical screen. Guests will be seated on moving platforms, their feet dangling above the imagery. Special effects designed to heighten the experience include wind, mist and location-specific scents.
Global attractions and hospitality company Pursuit created FlyOver. It has similar attractions in Reykjavik, Iceland, and in Vancouver.
The two-theater attraction, which will be located next to the Hard Rock Cafe on Las Vegas Boulevard, plans to introduce additional immersive flight rides shot in other locations around the world. There will be preshow entertainment areas and a full-service bar.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to midnight Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays through Sundays.
