The boutique Zota Beach Resort opened June 23 on Longboat Key following a complete renovation and the addition of an 84-room tower.
Features of the 187-room resort, on the site of a former Hilton, include a reflective pond that stretches seamlessly from the exterior to the interior of the lobby and architectural elements inspired by Native Americans who first inhabited the area.

Under the direction of executive chef Jason Pellett, Viento Kitchen & Bar provides guests with a menu influenced by Florida, Caribbean and Mediterranean cooking techniques and flavors. An open-air lounge features hand-crafted cocktails.
The resort offers easy access to Sarasota's St. Armands Circle area and its upscale shopping, entertainment and restaurants.
