AmaWaterways promoted Alex Pinelo to the newly created
position of vice president, national accounts.
Pinelo joined the river cruise company a year ago as
director, Latin America sales. He later gained the added responsibility of
director of national accounts.

Ama said the most recent promotion reflects the senior-level
leadership he had exhibited since joining the company from Norwegian Cruise
Line, where had been vice president of key accounts.
"Alex's wealth of experience, his energy and
enthusiasm, and especially his ability to educate and motivate our travel agent
partners has proven instrumental in leading our sales team and travel partners
to improve their sales results consistently," said Gary Murphy, co-owner and
vice president of sales.
