Travel industry veteran Edie Rodriguez has been named CEO of Transcend Cruises, the charter-only river cruise line operating in Europe. She will also join the line's board.

In her role, Rodriguez will be working with the Transcend team on brand development and growth, as well as the overall strategic direction of the company, which specializes in working with corporations, associations and affinity groups.
Her travel industry experience includes time as CEO of Crystal Cruises, which included Crystal River Cruises and Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises, along with roles at Azamara Cruises, Carnival Corp.'s Cunard and Seabourn brands and Ponant Cruises. She was also on the board of the Saudi Arabia Tourism Authority.
She called Transcend a "true innovator and positive disrupter" in the European river cruise charter and meetings space.
"I look forward to building on the company's momentum as we lead the future of experiential river cruising for the charter and MICE global markets," she said.
Former CEO Gregg Marston will remain a member of the board.
