American Queen Steamboat Company has closed on its acquisition of the Victory brand and its two ships, the Victory I and Victory II, which sail the Great Lakes.

AQSB said the ships will spend the winter and spring season at Gulf Island shipyard in Houma, Louisiana, undergoing a multimillion-dollar refurbishment before re-entering service in May 2019.

Beginning in May and running through October, Victory Cruise Lines will sail 10-day, all-inclusive cruises on the 202-passenger ships.

Victory I will sail between Montreal and Detroit with stops in Quebec City, Kingston, Toronto, the Welland Canal, Port Colborne and Niagara Falls, and Cleveland. Victory II will sail between Toronto and Chicago, visiting Port Colborne and Niagara Falls, Welland Canal, Cleveland and Detroit. It will also sail Lake Huron with stops at the Soo Locks in Sault Ste. Marie, Mackinac Island and ending on Lake Michigan.
