Emerald Waterways next year will launch the 84-passenger Emerald Harmony, a new vessel on Southeast Asia's Mekong River.

The boutique, yacht-style vessel will feature 32 panorama balcony suites with drop-down windows at 273 square feet, four grand balcony suites at 398 square feet, and two owner's suites with wrap-around terraces and private hot tubs at 450 square feet.

The public areas will include a pool located at the aft of the vessel, an Asian-themed bar and lounge named Horizon, a main dining venue called Reflections Restaurant, and the Lotus Lounge, an outdoor area.

There will be a 2-to-1 ratio of guests to crew. The design will marry Asian-inspired features with the modern amenities of a boutique hotel.

The vessel will sail the Mekong between Vietnam and Cambodia as part of 13-, 17- and 21-day cruise and tour packages that will kick off in August 2019. The Emerald Harmony will be able to dock in Ho Chi Minh City, rather than outside the city.

The 13-day Majestic Mekong itinerary sails between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap with time to explore Angkor Wat; the 17-day Treasures & Temples of Vietnam & Cambodia itinerary adds stops in Hanoi and Halong Bay; and the 21-day Grand Tour of Vietnam & Cambodia itinerary includes stops at Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Hue and Siem Reap.

Bookings on the Emerald Harmony made by Aug. 31, 2018, will receive an inaugural special of free roundtrip airfare to Asia and $100 onboard credit per person, or $3,000 per couple off the price of the sailing.

Emerald Waterways offers sailings on what it calls its Star-Ships fleet of river cruise vessels, which cruise in Europe and on the Mekong. The company also charters vessels on the Volga and Nile rivers, and on the Croatian coast.
