Jerre Fuqua
AmaWaterways said Wednesday that Jerre Fuqua will join the
company as chief marketing officer, effective Sept. 6.
In the newly created role, Fuqua will “place a special focus on
the travel trade” and bring together “the company’s strategic and tactical marketing teams
in ways that will optimize communications across all media channels,” said AmaWaterways.
Fuqua joins AmaWaterways from TUI Group, where for the last 10
years he has led a number of brands, most recently serving as president for Travcoa and
YMT Vacations.
From 2013 to 2015, Fuqua was chairman of
the U.S. Tour Operators Association.
“Jerre has a rich background in luxury travel, tour operation and
expedition cruising, and will help solidify AmaWaterways’ service promises to both our guests and
our partners,” said Kristin Karst, AmaWaterways' executive vice president and co-owner.
