Adventures by Disney will offer a new river cruise itinerary in southern France in 2026. Bookings open on Feb. 10 for previous Adventures by Disney guests and Feb. 12 to the general public.

The cruise will sail the Rhone from Lyon aboard the AmaKristina, operated by AmaWaterways. Disney will offer five departure dates, including one just for adults.

The eight-day Lyon and Provence itinerary will take guests on a tour of the river complete with a hint of Disney magic. For example, a food-and-wine tour of Lyon will feature Ratatouille-inspired storytelling to make guests feel like Remy, the movie's main character who happens to be a Parisian rat with a penchant for cooking.

Activities include components designed for children, including a chocolate-making class, a fruit juice tasting and a workshop inspired by paleolithic cave paintings.

Each sailing will be led by Disney-trained adventure guides and include immersive experiences in Lyon, Tournon, Viviers, Avignon, Arles and Marseille. Guests will have the opportunity to explore vineyards, learn about Lyon's silk industry, explore Aven d'Ornac Cave and enjoy treats at a chocolate factory.

Other itinerary highlights include visiting ancient Roman aqueduct bridge Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; riding on the historic Train de l'Ardeche along the Vivarais Railway Line; and learning French game pétanque in medieval village Viviers.

The first sailing is slated for June 4, 2026.
