For 2013, Scenic Cruises is offering passengers on its six European river vessels some additional inclusions, among them access to an onboard audio tour featuring commentary about the passing scenery.

The onboard system, which Scenic calls Scenic Riverview, is GPS-triggered and enables guests to tune into commentary about places of interest that the ships sail past. All cabins will be outfitted with the personal, hand-held devices so passengers can listen from their stateroom or from anywhere onboard.

Additionally, Scenic's butler service, previously available only to select cabins, has expanded to the entire ship. A butler will offer guests complimentary refreshments and will serve as a personal concierge service that can assist guests with getting theater tickets, arranging limousine service, making on-shore arrangements or salon appointments or getting a shoeshine.

On the vessels’ two upper stateroom decks, the butler will also serve cocktails, tea or coffee in the cabin. And on the uppermost deck, the butler will provide a welcome bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, serve breakfast in the stateroom and provide complimentary laundry service for two pieces of clothing per day.
