AirTrain service at Newark Airport resumed July 3, following a two-month repair.

The 6.3-mile service started shuttling passengers between terminals at 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

The AirTrain station that links New Jersey Transit and Amtrak trains along the Northeast Corridor also is back in service.

Substitute shuttle buses that had provided alternate service remain available between Newark's Penn Station and the airport's three terminals if any problems develop.
