Eos moves launch date up two weeks to Oct. 18

PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Eos, the new entrant carrier offering business only service, advanced the launch date for its inaugural flight by two weeks.

That means the airlines New York (Kennedy) to London (Stansted) service now will start Oct. 18 instead of Nov. 1.

Eos, which plans to focus exclusively on premium transatlantic travelers, configured its 757 aircraft for just 48 lie-flat seats to provide each passenger with 21 square feet of space.
