JetBlue has added more flexibility for pooling points within its TrueBlue loyalty program.

Under the revised program, which the airline is now calling Points Pooling rather than Family Pooling, pools can be made up of two to seven people of any age, whether or not they are family. Previously, pools were limited to families of no more than two adults and up to five children.

JetBlue has also loosened Points Pooling contribution and redemption rules. Members now contribute 100% of their points to the pool and can leave the pool with their unused points whenever they choose. Previously, members designated a percentage of their points that were to be contributed to the pool, and points within a specific pool could only be redeemed by a designated pool leader, called a Head of Household.

Under the revised program, the pool leader can designate other pool members to redeem points and book reward travel.
