JetBlue has unveiled a new platform called ByBlue that enables travelers to book car rentals and other trip offerings with one click.
JetBlue calls it “the most personalized tool to help you
travel.”
In addition to the ability to book in a single click, the
tool boasts exclusive deals and personalized offers.
After booking a flight, users can use the new tool to book
car reservations with Avis Budget.
ByBlue personalizes the car reservations based on factors
such as the type of trip and the number of travelers.
The company plans to add other partners to ByBlue in the
coming months, including Walt Disney Resorts.
The announcement was part of a presentation by JetBlue
Travel Products, which relaunched JetBlue Vacations with new perks such as
resort credits, room upgrades, free airport transfers, earlier boarding and a
free in-flight beverage.
Ciprian Acatrinei, head of technology at JetBlue Travel
Products, says ByBlue will eventually integrate machine learning to manage
personalization.
There is also a way for users to book a JetBlue flight
through a third party (such as an online travel agency) and then use the app
for booking other services.
