OpenSkies completes integration with L'Avion

OpenSkies, British Airways' all-premium-class subsidiary, has completed its merger with French business-class airline L'Avion.

As a result, the L'Avion brand has been phased out. OpenSkies said the combined airline offers a "single, premiere, business-class brand."

The L'Avion Boeing 757-200 fleet is being repainted with the OpenSkies livery. The last aircraft will be repainted by mid-May, said OpenSkies.

Openskies' top-end BIZ cabin has been renamed Biz Bed, and the PREM+ cabin has been renamed Biz Seat. Seats in Biz Bed recline to 180 degrees. Seats in the Biz Seat cabin recline to 140 degrees with a pitch of 51 inches.

OpenSkies flies from New York Kennedy and Newark to Paris Orly, and from New York to Amsterdam.

The company's operating certificate is now located in France, so OpenSkies has relocated its headquarters to Paris Orly. Other employees will be based in New Jersey.
