OpenSkies, a British Airways subsidiary operating premium service between New York Kennedy and Paris Orly, made its inaugural flight from Paris on Thursday.
The airline was created in response to the U.S.-European Union open-skies agreement, a pact that allows U.S. and E.U. carriers to fly from any U.S. destination to any E.U. destination. OpenSkies flies one daily roundtrip between Paris and New York.
OpenSkies operates 82-passenger Boeing 757s with fully lie-flat beds in business class and seats with a 52-inch pitch in a premium economy class.
