OpenSkies, British Airways' all-premium-class ssubsidiary, will suspend Amsterdam-New York service starting Aug. 16 to focus resources on Paris-New York.
"The economic environment has produced a significant drop in market demand," said OpenSkies CEO Dale Moss. The Amsterdam service was not profitable, Moss said.
OpenSkies passengers with tickets for Amsterdam-New York can fly on British Airways via London or get a refund.
OpenSkies said it would directly contact passengers who booked flights online or through the carrier’s call center. The airline added that it would send instructions to travel agents with customers on those flights.
