PARK RIDGE, N.J. -- Hertz on April 1 will make it easier for customers to reserve one of its Prestige Collection automobiles.

That's when the rental car firm will add Baltimore; Fort Myers and Naples, Fla.; Houston; Minneapolis; Philadelphia; Seattle, Raleigh/Durham, N.C.; St. Louis; and Salt Lake City to its markets renting the Jaguars, Land Rovers, Lincolns and Volvos that are part of the luxury car collection.

Hertz said it plans to expand the program to eight more cities in North America and to several cities in Europe and Australia by the end of 2003. Hertz is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Ford Motor Co., which owns the brands that make up the Prestige Collection.
