In the second quarter, Lyft continued to gain business travel market share on Uber, though Uber remains the most expensed in any category, according to expense management supplier Certify's SpendSmart report.

Lyft accounted for 19% of ride-hailing receipts among the more than 10 million receipts and expenses Certify processed, up 9 percentage points from the second quarter of 2017. Uber accounted for 74% of ride-hailing receipts, down 3 percentage points year over year.

Taxis' share, meanwhile, dropped 5 percentage points year over year to account for just 7 percent of receipts during the second quarter.
