ORLANDO -- In early September, Thrifty Car Rental will enhance its
Blue Chip Express Rental Program for U.S. and Canadian corporate
account members by guaranteeing that the first day of a rental will
be free if the member is unhappy with any aspect during a lease
period.
Bob Thunell, staff vice president of sales, told National
Business Travel Association delegates here that the guarantee is
tied to a "no-questions-asked" policy and is being implemented to
underscore the company's dedication to corporate account
business.
Thrifty has 98 Blue Chip Express Rental Program cities where
members will find the guarantee in force.
Blue Chip Express was introduced last fall and has membership in
the "tens of thousands," a spokeswoman said. Members use dedicated
express lines at the counter, where they present their license and
sign a contract based on information supplied on their original
application.
