DALLAS -- American Airlines launched CorporateAAccess.com, a Web portal where the airline's corporate customers can book a full range of fares -- published, Web and negotiated -- directly with American.

In addition, business travelers are able to refund and exchange tickets themselves through the portal, which is powered by Minneapolis-based Navitaire, the company that is also enabling automated exchanges for users of Carlson Wagonlit Travel's self-booking tool.

If self-booking isn't part of a corporation's culture, American is allowing travel agencies to use CorporateAAccess.com on their clients' behalf.

American is charging $1,000 to implement the portal, but that fee is being waived until the end of the year. The transaction fee is $10, a charge that's also being waived until the end of 2003.
