Amadeus announced a mobile app for its e-Travel Management corporate booking tool.
Currently in beta testing in Scandinavia, the app enables users to "make new air and rail bookings via their mobile devices including iPhone and Android," according to Amadeus, which said it would become available "in the next few months."
The mobile app has been developed in conjunction with a new user interface for the Amadeus e-Travel Management booking system, which "has undergone a completely new workflow redesign, streamlining the booking process itself, making it easier and faster to search, book, review and approve," according to Amadeus.
The company quoted Microsoft's travel category manager for strategy and technology, Olive Kavanagh, as saying that the new interface "provides an updated user experience that is more aligned with familiar consumer travel sites. Following a successful pilot in Ireland, we are currently in the process of migrating a number of other EMEA markets."
