Douglas Anderson
Carlson Wagonlit Travel
said Wednesday that president and CEO Douglas Anderson has been
replaced by Kurt Ekert, effective immediately.
In a statement, CWT said
Anderson was leaving the travel management company to pursue other opportunities.

“Under Douglas
Anderson’s leadership, CWT became the industry leader in business travel and
made significant advancement in technology, including the acquisition of
WorldMate,” CWT said. “The company also developed an effective organization
with strong talent."
Ekert was most recently Travelport's
executive vice president and chief commercial officer. He was in his most
recent role at Travelport for about five years, and before that he spent nine
years at Travelport in various other executive roles. Before
that, he spent six years at Continental Airlines.
