Garber Travel of Chestnut Hill, Mass., will give up its name in the corporate arena, taking on the FCm Travel Solutions identity.
The 63-year-old company will keep Garber Travel as its leisure brand.
As part of the branding, Garber | FCm will be fully integrated into the sales, marketing and operational strategies of FCm Travel Solutions, which has owned 26% of Garber Travel since early 2007.
Gregory Lording, president of FCm Travel Solutions USA, based in Chicago, will be the leader of the business and its operations.
Roz Garber, CEO of Garber | FCm Travel Solutions, said she had found that "corporate travel clients wanted to work with a travel management company that could provide them with local service and a consolidated program management on a global scale." Garber will serve as chair of the board.
"I’m pleased to keep the Garber name for consumer travel and, professionally, I’m equally pleased to recognize the evolution of our corporate travel management services into FCm Travel Solutions," she said.
FCm Travel Solutions has operations in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
FCm is owned by Australian company Flight Centre Ltd., which also owns Liberty Travel and Gogo Worldwide Vacations. Garber Travel was No. 28 on Travel Weekly's 2009 Power List.
