NEW YORK -- When flight delays occur, several airports have made it easier to get work done, even for those not carrying a computer.

Laptop Lanes are 40-square-foot workstations with lockable doors. For 38 cents per minute, business services include printing, faxing, domestic long-distance calls and Internet usage.

Travelers with Ethernet-equipped computers on hand can log on at T-1 speed and print in color at the concierge station.

Laptop Lanes are open at Chicago O'Hare; Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky; Denver; Detroit Wayne County Metropolitan, Hartsfield Atlanta; Philadelphia; Phoenix Sky Harbor; Seattle-Tacoma, and Tampa (Fla).

The service is in the works for Dallas/Fort Worth; Raleigh-Durham, N.C., and New York's Kennedy and La Guardia.
