NEW YORK -- New partnerships, products and services were announced
by companies providing Web-based solutions for meeting planners.
North Miami Beach, Fla.-based MADSearch announced a marketing
agreement with VisualFrenzy.VisualFrenzy will provide the content for Internet video tours,
advertising destinations and properties that will be linked to
MADSearch's Web site, www.madsearch.com.
MADSearch, with free site selection and booking services,
already features VisualFrenzy's 50 property tours and plans to add
more each month.
B-there.com, which offers housing and registration
services, consolidated its customer service departments into a
customer-centric program under Mark Larsen, vice president of
client delivery service. Larsen previously headed product
management.Called the Complete Customer Care program, the reorganization
brings together account management, client services training, event
building and product management.
The Westport, Conn.-based company also added 10 client service
positions.
Passkey.com Inc. of Quincy, Mass., added the Greater
Pittsburgh and San Antonio convention and visitors bureaus to its
CVBs on line, which use its Web-based group housing and
registration services.According to the company, 33 CVBs, 60% of them among the
nation's top 50 CVBs, are now Passkey-enabled.
Cleveland-based PlanSoft Corp., www.mpoint.com, which offers planners free site
selection and request-for-proposal services, signed an agreement
with BiZBash.com Idea Center.Both companies will promote links to the other's Web site.
BiZBash, a free on-line service, provides a database of New York
special events and event resources.
Event411 Inc. (at www.event411.com), a Marina del Rey, Calif.-based
housing and event registration company, announced it will license
its software to Philip Morris Management Corp.Philip Morris, which has more than 500 company events annually
ranging in size from 10 to 3,000 attendees, will use Event411's
software as its primary planning tool.
