MINNEAPOLIS -- Northwestern Incentive Services, a division of
Northwestern Travel Management, developed a Web-based meeting
registration tool for its corporate customers.
The product is called Regquest and will be offered only to
corporate customers at Northwestern at no additional cost,
according to Brad Williams, vice president of Northwestern
Incentive Services.
"Regquest is meant for a corporation to use when conducting a
group travel event," said Williams.
It is a program designed by Northwestern Incentive Services and
operated on site, he said.
Since the industry, in general, is moving toward on-line
registration for corporate meetings, Northwestern decided to create
Regquest.
Northwestern also expects to save on labor and paper costs with
on-line registration, which is why corporate customers are being
offered Regquest at no additional cost.
"We're sure that we're going to save money on the back end
because we won't need people to rekey [attendee] information," said
Williams. An attendee registers on line by visiting the Regquest
Web site, logging on and entering a password.
From there, the attendee supplies all pertinent personal and
itinerary information. Negotiated corporate fares and company
travel policy are entered into the program.
When registration is completed, the attendee receives a
confirmation by e-mail. Once registered, said Williams,
registration data may be reviewed or changed at any time.
Also, a reporting system is built into Regquest, enabling a
corporate travel manager to compile a specialized report based on
specific criteria.
