WASHINGTON -- Universal Air Travel Plan, the credit card company
owned by card-issuing airlines, elected a board of directors for
the first time in the organization's history.
UATP, which was a joint venture among member airlines for 64
years, incorporated on Sept. 30.
The elected board of directors became the governing body,
replacing the board of management, which consisted of UATP's
largest members.
Ten board members were elected, as follows:
Richard Crum, UATP president and chairman of the board.
Glenn Schulz, managing director of corporate receivables for
American Airlines.
D. Jim Young, managing director of distribution planning for
Continental Airlines.
P. Gary Smedile, director of credit operations for TWA.
Marc T. Krohn, director of receivables and customer support for
United Airlines.
Kieron Gava, general manager of global distribution for British
Airways.
Shigeyuki Kamei, director of passenger marketing for Japan
Airlines.
Marc Lammens, general manager of Traxxer Corporate Services for
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
Michael Peine, managing director of Lufthansa AirPlus
Servicekarten GmbH.
Klaus Stapel, manager of credit card accounting for
Swissair.
