WestJet and the Oneworld airline alliance have launched a corporate travel program in Canada.

The program, called CanadaConnect, combines WestJet's Canadian network with Oneworld's transborder and international flights to offer special fares to companies in Canada.

Seven Oneworld carriers are participating: American, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Lan, Qantas and Royal Jordanian.

WestJet rival Air Canada is a member of the Star Alliance.

To make using CanadaConnect as simple as possible, participating airlines will nominate a single point of contact to coordinate each customer's needs, said the partners.

There are no present plans for WestJet to join Oneworld.
