Amanresorts founder Adrian Zecha and a company led by Summit Entertainment investor Omar Amanat have acquired Amanresorts from India-based DLF Global Hospitality.
Amanat's Peak Hotels & Resorts Group and Zecha paid $358 million for Amanresorts parent Silverlink Resorts Ltd. The acquisition doesn't include Silverlink's Lodhi Hotel in Delhi.
Zecha, who will remain chairman of Amanresorts, founded the company in 1988 and sold his stake to DLF in 2007 for about $400 million. Zecha co-founded Regent Hotels in 1972 and sold his share of that company in 1986.
Amanresorts has 26 resorts in 18 countries.
Peak Hotels is run by entrepreneur Omar Amanat, a technology-sector entrepreneur whose investments include "Twilight" movie series producer Summit Entertainment.
