The new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge coming to the Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom later this year will be called the Beak and Barrel.

Located in Adventureland, Beak and Barrel will have two spaces where guests can enjoy libations. The largest will be The Mess, fabled to be a former mess hall for Spanish soldiers. The space will be filled with long tables and a candle-covered anchor will hang overhead. A large bar will be located on one side of the room.

The Captains' Quarters is said to be the Spanish Comandante's living quarters. While the Comandante enjoyed the finer things in life, pirates over the years caused some damage (and stole some portraits). Disney hinted that the five ships in glass bottles above the fireplace will sometimes come alive and battle each other.

The lounge's founder is pirate rumrunner Captain Meridian "Merry" Goldwyn, and its quartermaster is Rummy, a green parrot who has retired from the sea to a roost above the bar.

Rummy, who looks remarkably similar to the Barker Bird that used to sit at the entrance to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, will share stories and lead the bar in a toast or two.
