The new Charter Hotel Seattle has opened as a
member of Hilton's Curio Collection of independently operated properties.
The downtown hotel features the Fog Room, an indoor-outdoor
bar and lounge on the rooftop with views of the Puget Sound. The Fog Room will
host live music and other entertainment, and serve a menu of locally inspired
small bites and craft cocktails.
The hotel's ground floor restaurant, Patagon, prepares Argentine-style
cuisine with a Pacific Northwest bent. Meats will be cooked on an open grill
that centers the space.
Among the Charter's 229 guestrooms are 13 one-bedroom
suites. A gym/wellness center has a sauna, steam room and cold rain shower.
The Charter Hotel seeks to showcase its central location
with a collection of downtown maps that feature curated itineraries from
Seattle luminaries like publisher JJ McKay and restaurateur Linda Derschang,
among others. According to the hotel, the maps are intended to "help
guests orient their adventures as they seek local experiences."
The Charter Hotel Seattle is Hilton's second Curio
Collection property in the Northwest U.S., joining The Porter Portland, which
opened in April.
