The first U.S. hotel for Amsterdam-based CitizenM opened near New York City’s Times Square on Tuesday.
The boutique hotel company, which like Yotel aims to provide “affordable luxury” to young travelers, opened the 230-room hotel at Broadway and West 50th Street.
Among other amenities, the hotel provides free WiFi, in-room movies and king-size beds in each room.
CitizenM opened its first hotel at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in 2008 and has since opened two more hotels in the Netherlands and two in the U.K.
