The Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa will make its debut in November, following a multimillion-dollar renovation of the Gala Beach Resort Huatulco.
The Gala will close in May to undergo the Dreams transformation. Located on the Pacific coast in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, the Dreams Huatulco becomes the brand's first property in Huatulco. The resort, about a 20-minute drive from Huatulco International Airport and five minutes from the Tangolunda Golf Course, overlooks Tangolunda Bay. Nearby points of interest include Copalita Waterfalls, La Bocana Lagoon and Rio Copalita.
The all-inclusive Dreams Huatulco will have 419 luxury suites, 24-hour room and concierge services and daily refreshed mini-bars. There will be a choice of restaurants and six bars throughout the premises and a variety of resort activities, including kayaking, snorkeling, volleyball and dance classes. A Preferred Club area will offer daily afternoon and evening hors d'oeuvres, upgraded amenities and balconies with Jacuzzis.
The Explorers' Kids Club, designed for guests ages 3 to 12, features supervised activities. The spa will offer a hydrotherapy area, couples treatment rooms, outdoor massage cabins, a lush outdoor garden, a plunge pool, foot baths, a sauna and steam bath. The spa also will have a full-service beauty salon.
Dreams plans to add a convention center to attract meetings and incentives business.
