Edition, the luxury-boutique brand headed by Marriott International and Ian Schrager, plans to open a hotel in Barcelona next year.
KKH Property Investors is redeveloping an office building in the city’s Ciutat Vella district. The 100-room hotel will be near the Cathedral of Barcelona and Santa Caterina Market. Plans call for three restaurants, a rooftop bar and a club.
Edition's other Europe hotels are in Istanbul and London. Other Edition hotels are in Miami Beach and New York, while properties are slated to open in Bangkok, Abu Dhabi and Sanya, China, later this year.
