The Westin New York Grand Central on Friday officially opened in what was the New York Helmsley Hotel, following a $75 million renovation.
The hotel, New York City’s second under Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Westin upper-upscale badge, has 774 rooms as well as more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space and a 3,000-square-foot fitness center.
The LCL: Bar & Kitchen NYC will be operated by nightclub impresario Rande Gerber.
The property is about five blocks east of the 863-room Westin New York at Times Square, which opened in 2002.
