Four Seasons makes mainland China debut

TORONTO -- Four Seasons opened the Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai, its first new property of 2002 and its first property in mainland China. The new hotel is a 37-story, 443-room structure at 500 Heihei Road in the business district of Puxi.

It will cater to business events with a 7,300-square-foot ballroom and six meeting rooms. It incorporates two lounges and four restaurants, including Chinese, Italian and Japanese restaurants and a steakhouse.

Also included on site are a fitness center and spa with an indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, hair salon, private massage and treatment rooms and workout equipment.
