TORONTO -- Four Seasons will take over management of two South American hotels Dec. 1, increasing its number of properties on the continent to three.

The additions are the Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in Argentina and the Madison Resort, Golf & Spa in Carmelo, Uruguay. The hotels will be reflagged as the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires and the Four Seasons Resort Carmelo.

The first Four Seasons hotel in South America, the Four Seasons Caracas in Venezuela, opened in January.

In Buenos Aires, the soon-to-be Four Seasons has 165 rooms and is located near the Recoleta district.

Only 25 miles away in Uruguay, the Four Seasons Carmelo has 44 villas and is situated on the Rio de la Plata.
