InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened the Holiday Inn Guayaquil Airport in Ecuador.

The 122-room, newbuild property is the second IHG-branded hotel for Ecuador, with the first being the Holiday Inn Express Quito in the capital city.

"The addition of the Holiday Inn Guayaquil Airport is in line with IHG's strategy to expand our portfolio in all key markets across the region," said Alvaro Diago, IHG's COO for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Guayaquil is Ecuador's main port and economic hub. The hotel is close to the city's convention center and main business area.

Facilities include an outdoor pool, business center, lobby bar, meeting rooms, free shuttle to the airport, complimentary internet and restaurant.
