The French Riviera landmark Hotel Martinez, a Grand Hyatt hotel since 2013, will rebrand when it reopens in March.

The Cannes hotel will drop the Grand Hyatt brand and join the Unbound Collection, a soft brand Hyatt launched last year. Hotel Martinez will be the second European hotel to join the Unbound Collection, following Paris' Hotel du Louvre.

A fixture on Cannes' La Croisette for almost 90 years, Hotel Martinez is currently closed for a four-month renovation. The hotel is adding a less-formal dining venue serving Mediterranean cuisine to complement the hotel's two-Michelin-star La Palme d'Or.

Renowned Paris design house Pierre-Yves Rochon is updating white-hued guestrooms with sky-blue and yellow accents. The rooms will also have marble, leather and terrazzo furnishings to accentuate its French and Italian design approach.

Pierre-Yves Rochon has designed the interiors of London's Savoy Hotel, the Four Seasons Florence and the Peninsula Shanghai, among others.
