Marriott International reached an agreement for Bangladesh’s first JW Marriott, to be developed in the capital city of Dhaka.

The 700-room JW Marriott Hotel Dhaka will be built by Jamuna Group and will be part of a mixed-use retail and office project.

The luxury hotel will have five restaurants and bars, and about 25,000 square feet of meeting space. No opening date has been set.

Dhaka is Bangladesh’s largest city, with a population of about 7 million. Seventeen of the world’s 59 JW Marriott hotels are in Asia, including three in India.
