Marriott International opened the JW Marriott Cusco in Peru.
Standing 11,154 feet above sea level, the 153-room hotel is Marriott's highest-altitude hotel and features an in-room supplemental oxygen system to alleviate altitude adjustments.
It is JW Marriott's second hotel in Peru, joining the JW in Lima.
The hotel offers two restaurants, 24-hour room service, retail stores and a fitness center and spa.
Located in Cusco's historical district, the JW features archaeological exhibits of the findings uncovered during excavation work. Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire, was designated a World Heritage site in 1983.
