Amara SedonaKimpton Hotels & Restaurants acquired the Amara Resort and Spa in Sedona, Kimpton's first property in the Arizona resort town.

The 100-room resort, which was built in 2004, completed a $2 million renovation last year, including the addition of a 26,000-gallon saltwater pool. Many of the property’s rooms have views of Sedona’s famous red rocks.

Kimpton didn’t disclose what it paid for the hotel.

In Arizona, Kimpton also operates the Hotel Palomar Phoenix and the FireSky Resort & Spa in Scottsdale.
