Caesars Entertainment will rename the Quad Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip as the Linq Hotel & Casino in October, after the property undergoes a $223 million renovation.
The 2,256-room Linq, which will take reservations for stays starting Oct. 30, will receive guestroom updates as well as a new pool area, a lobby renovation and automated check-in.
The property opened in 1959 as the Flamingo Capri before being renamed the Imperial Palace in 1979. Caesars renamed it the Quad in 2012.
The hotel’s name references Caesars’ new Linq Promenade retail-entertainment district that runs between the property and the Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. It includes the High Roller observation wheel.
The first phase of the $550 million Linq project opened this past New Year’s Eve.
