LAS VEGAS -- MGM Grand Inc. will acquire Primadonna Resorts in an
all-stock transaction.
The companies expect to enter into a definitive merger agreement
within two weeks.
Primadonna Resorts owns Whiskey Pete's, Buffalo Bill's and the
Primm Valley Resort, all in Primm, Nev., and a 50% interest in New
York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Besides the MGM Grand Hotel Casino, MGM Grand operates the MGM
Grand Hotel Casino in Darwin, Australia, manages casinos in
Nelspruit, Witbank and Johannesburg, South Africa, and has a 50%
interest in New York-New York.
