Marriott International will debut its first Ritz-Carlton ski resort in Europe in 2026, with the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Zermatt in the Swiss Alps.
Set to offer proximity to various ski slopes and the Matterhorn, the 69-room property will feature ski-in/ski-out access as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools and other recreational amenities.
On the culinary front, the Ritz-Carlton Zermatt will house two restaurants, two bars, an outdoor terrace for alfresco dining and a private dining room.
The property will also feature a spa, gym and meetings and event facilities.
The Ritz-Carlton Zermatt will be the luxury flag's second outpost in Switzerland, joining the Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix Geneva, as well as its fourth ski resort. The brand's existing ski properties include the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe in California and the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch and the Ritz-Carlton Club Vail in Colorado.
