Marriott today celebrates the opening of the first of its two hotels at Los Angeles’ new downtown destination, L.A. Live.
A ribbon-cutting was scheduled today for the 878-room JW Marriott, which shares a 54-story tower with a 137-room Ritz-Carlton set to open next month.
The hotels are a cornerstone of L.A. Live, a new sports, dining and entertainment district that is at the forefront of efforts to revitalize downtown Los Angeles.
The district includes Staples Center, Nokia Theater, ESPN’s West Coast headquarters and the Grammy Museum.
